the early 80s |
a boy called Markus began his 'career' on highschool and later on college by learning to play organ and forming a schoolband together with two of his classmates, a bass player and a singer. this band was called 'Flaire', a mixture of french and english, combining the meanings of the words 'flair' and 'flare'. the aim of the three musicians was to make own compositions, not just cheap cover versions of some well known songs. and by the way, most of the compositions were done by Markus. |
'Flaire' became almost a little bit famous during the times and a bit later on it was renamed to 'Flashpoint'. the band was still in development, therefore it was necessary to take use of some more musicians: a drumer and a guitar player. that should happen soon, and the band grow up more and more. 'Flashpoint' became 'The Kaleidoscope', and all 5 guys together rearranged the existing songs to give them a more sophisticated note. new songs in a new style where composed, and again many of the songs have been written by Markus. some musicians changed during the time, but the spirit was still same. |
the early 90s | the dark
age began... after various gigs 'The Kaleidoscope' felt apart. the drumer and the lead singer left the band. so did the guitar player. only Markus and his former classmate, the bass player, stayed. and that seemed to be the end... but Markus did not give up and began to learn playing guitar. a little bit later he met two other musicians, a singer and a guitar player, who searched for a keyboarder, and fortunately Markus played keyboards. the dark age ended... and the new formed band
was named due to the fact that Markus wrote many of the songs for 'Flaire', 'Flashpoint' and 'The Kaleidoscope', most of them were rearranged again so that they fit the 90s. and once again some musicians changed. the singer left the group, but don't worry, a new singer, a girl, joined the band. |
the late 90s | after some
succesful years the guitar player and the bass player
left the formation because of a huge lack of time. a new
base man and a new keyboarder joined 'ONE CROSS EACH', and Markus began to play
guitar instead of keyboards. and again all the songs were rearranged to fit the upcoming 21st century. the style of the music changed again. it was much more sophisticated now and became that what '1XEACH' is today. and the aim of the musicians was still the same as it was in the early 80s: '...to make own compositions, not just cheap cover versions of some well known songs...'. and again, many of the compositions were done by Markus. and again, the lack of time is to blame. Markus decided to try his best in doing all the things alone, if there is time. the result is '1XEACH' as it is now: a living audio, music and sound experience... |
